- Blue H USA is committed to bringing deepwater wind energy technology to the United States. In December of 2007, Blue H launched the world's first floating turbine off the coast of southern Italy. Blue H's prototype wind energy unit was fully installed 11.5 nautical miles off the southern Italian coast in deepwater (371 ft) during the summer of 2008. Blue H is now constructing its first commercial unit which is scheduled for installation by the summer of 2009 in Italy's southern region of Puglia. This project is expected to be the first operational deepwater wind energy farm in the world.
